General Terms of Use

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This page is a courtesy translation; only the French version is legally binding. Read the French version

These terms govern the use of Bus Market, a free marketplace reserved for used coaches, buses, midibuses and minibuses. Using the site, creating an account or publishing a listing constitutes acceptance of these terms, in the version displayed on this date.

Role of Bus Market

Bus Market puts sellers and buyers in touch. It neither buys nor sells vehicles, receives no commission and is not a party to the sales contract. For listings, it acts as a hosting provider within the meaning of the French law for confidence in the digital economy (LCEN) and the European Digital Services Act. As such, it is liable for content published by a seller only if it had actual knowledge of its unlawful nature and did not act promptly to remove it. The check carried out before publication concerns compliance with these rules; it guarantees neither the accuracy of the listing nor the condition of the vehicle.

Account

The site is reserved for adults with the capacity to enter into contracts and for professionals acting for their business. Login is with a password, or by a link or a code sent by email: you keep your password secret and are responsible for the security of your mailbox. To publish, the seller provides their name and a valid phone number. A professional provides their SIRET number: the “Pro” badge is awarded after verification. You may ask for your account to be deleted at any time by writing to contact.busmarket@gmail.com.

Publication rules

Moderation

Each coach listing is first checked by an automated tool (checks of the information, then a review of the photos and the text); if everything is in order, it is published, usually within a few minutes. At the slightest doubt, it is checked by a member of the team, normally within 24 hours. Spare parts and business sales are checked by the team. The automated tool never rejects a listing: a request for a change or a rejection is always decided by a person, and the seller receives the reason by email. A listing stays online for 60 days; the seller is notified 7 days beforehand and can extend it with one click.

Reporting a listing

Any visitor can report a listing using the “Report this listing” button. Every report is examined. If the listing is removed, the seller receives the reason by email and can contest the decision by writing to contact.busmarket@gmail.com; the request is reviewed, where possible, by someone other than the person who took the decision.

Ranking of listings

By default, listings appear from the most recently published to the oldest. Visitors can sort them by price, mileage or year, and filter them by category, budget, seats and equipment. No seller pays to be ranked higher. A listing disappears from the results when it expires, when the vehicle is sold, when the seller withdraws it or when it is removed after moderation.

Warranties depending on the seller

Each listing states whether the seller is a professional (“Pro” badge) or a private individual, because the buyer’s rights depend on it:

We advise you to see and test the vehicle, to check its registration certificate, its roadworthiness test and its history, and never to pay a deposit to a person you have not met.

Contact between users

The contact details exchanged through the contact form are used solely for the sale of the vehicle concerned. It is forbidden to use them for prospecting, to mass-copy the listings or the site’s data (automated scraping) or to circumvent the anti-abuse protections.

Use of content

By publishing a listing, the seller warrants that they hold the rights to their texts and photos. They grant Bus Market a free licence to reproduce and display them, worldwide, on the site, in alert emails and in Bus Market’s posts on professional social networks that present their listing, for the duration of the listing. They may request the removal of a post at any time by writing to contact.busmarket@gmail.com.

Suspension and deletion

In the event of a serious breach of these terms (fraud, repeated misleading listings, unlawful content), Bus Market may remove the listings concerned and suspend the account, after informing the user of the reason, except in cases of urgency or where the law provides otherwise.

Liability

The seller is solely responsible for the content of their listing and for the sale. Bus Market endeavours to keep the site accessible and accurate, but cannot guarantee permanent availability; it is not liable for damage resulting from a sale concluded between users. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.

Tax and social security obligations

Sums received from a sale concluded through Bus Market may be subject to income tax and, for a professional, to social security contributions and VAT. It is for each seller to declare them. Official information: impots.gouv.fr and urssaf.fr.

Free service and changes to the terms

The service is free. If a paid option were ever offered, it would be optional and announced in advance, together with its conditions. These terms may change: the version in force and its date appear on this page, and sellers are notified by email of any significant change.

Personal data

See the privacy policy.

Consumer mediation

If you are a consumer and a written complaint sent to contact.busmarket@gmail.com has not been resolved, you may use the consumer mediator free of charge: À COMPLÉTER (nom, adresse et site du médiateur de la consommation).

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of difficulty, please first write to contact.busmarket@gmail.com to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the consumer may bring the matter before the competent court under the statutory rules; between professionals, the dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the courts of the place of the publisher’s registered office.
